GLASSBORO–Rowan Radio, 89.7 WGLS-FM recently won first place for Best Radio Feature in the Philadelphia Press Association's annual Media Awards Competition for the station’s documentary <+>America's Journey into the Millennium: Reflections Past, Present & Future.<+>

<+>America's Journey into the Millennium: Reflections Past, Present & Future<+> is a five-part series that examined sexuality, changing lifestyles, the family unit, higher education and changes in technology as America approached the new millennium. The series aired on Rowan University’s WGLS-FM the week of April 26, 1999. WGLS-FM members produced this documentary over a 12-week period as part of their requirements for the Advanced Radio Broadcasting course.

<+>America's Journey into the Millennium: Reflections Past, Present & Future<+> has already won two Crystal Awards of Excellence in the Education and Best Audio Documentary categories, first place for Best College Production in the annual New Jersey Associated Press Broadcasters competition and first place in the annual Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence regional competition.
