Glassboro - Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM will feature an interview with Paul
D. Barnes, Social Security Administration Deputy Commissioner, on

As Social Security Administration Deputy Commissioner, Barnes is
responsible for providing executive leadership and direction for the
Social Security Administration?s human resources programs. Barnes
began his career with the Social Security Administration in 1968 and has
held a number of management positions since joining the agency.

In 1995, Barnes received a Presidential Distinguished Executive Award
from President Clinton. In 1992, he received a Meritorious Award from
President Bush as well as the Social Security Administration?s National
Leadership Award.

Further recognition includes being selected the 1997 Federal Executive
of the Year by the Federal Executive Institute?s Alumni Association and
appearing in both <+>Outstanding Young Men in America<+> and <+>Who?s Who
in Black America.<+>
