Student wins $1,000 for staying in Prius
A Rowan University senior won $1,000 at the Philadelphia Auto Show on Friday after spending more than three days in a Toyota Prius.
Skylar Senius, 22, competed against four other people to see who could stay inside the car the longest.
Contestants were given a 15-minute break for every three hours spent inside the car, Senius said.
"It was fun, and I would definitely do it again," said Senius, who skipped nearly four days of classes.
The car was supposed to be awarded to the person who stayed the longest, Senius said. But in his car, there were four finalists.
"At the end, they did a random drawing," he said.
"When I get back to class, I'm just going to tell my professors the truth."
The contest ran from 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday until 6 p.m. on Friday, he said.
