The College of Performing Arts Faculty Spotlight Series presents acclaimed trumpeter George Rabbai and pianist Dean Schneider, as well as guest musicians, in “Romantic Torch Songs and Jazz Standards from the Great American Songbook,” an evening of ballads and love songs. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Department of Music welcomes renowned London-born lutist Nigel North for a recital exploring “Bach on the Lute” with three works from the composer’s “Sei Solo a violin solo, 1720.” A masterclass with the artist will be held earlier in the day at 11:00 a.m. in Boyd Recital Hall. Admission to these events is free and open to the public.

Award-winning Norwegian horn player Karl Kramer-Johansen returns to Rowan for a recital of works representing the full range of the horn repertoire.
