Rowan University Art Gallery kicks off its 2014-2015 season with internationally-acclaimed activist artist Mel Chin's exhibit showcasing his efforts to raise awareness of political and social injustices and inconsistencies through numerous artistic forms.

Curated by gallery director Mary Salvante, the exhibit focuses on works that question the objectivity, reliability, and integrity of information, facts, and events when compromised and corrupted by a political, social, or cultural agenda. Chin utilizes diverse methods to present his perspective on issues, incorporating imagery and text from philosophy, mythology, and ideology infused with humor and irony to promote deeper understanding. The exhibition follows his process from conception to fabrication through the presentation of studies, drawings, and photographs.

Admission is free and open to the public.
